As noted by prominent Society archivist Liam Spinage
Aaron Phipps was an unusual recruit, even by Aletheian Society standards. Many Society members are born into prominent and learned families with occult leanings: many others are pressed into secret service after brushes with one of the many malevolent manifestations that plague humanity. Phipps merely presented himself at the Society’s secret headquarters and requested to join. When asked how he knew of the hidden location, he explained by way of a map how the hidden ley lines in the land dictated that such a place must exist, and must be here. Presented with such knowledge, his admittance was immediate.
A former mining engineer, Phipps brings an extensive knowledge of the subterranean to the Society. Now living back on the land at his parents’ farm, he is often called upon to use his expertise to uncover places thought lost to the sum of human knowledge.
